Reports out of Memphis are detailing a deadly double shooting that took place after the Super Bowl, in which 38-year-old Calvin Wilkins has been arrested for a litany of charges that took the life of one man and left a woman critically injured.
The shooting occurred at 1:30 AM, and according to Wilkin’s wife, the conflict started when she prepared a plate of food for another man at the Super Bowl party. Wilkins then reportedly became “verbally abusive,” and everyone left the party aside from the victims who stayed behind.
Wilkin’s wife then says she received back to back phone calls from the victims later on, of which she could hear her husband’s voice as well as the victim’s pleading for their lives. She then reportedly heard multiple gunshots over the phone call.
Wilkins’ stepbrother, Issacca Powel, was killed in the shooting and leaves behind seven children, as the other victim has been identified as Sierra Stornes, a 32-year-old mother of three. It’s since been reported that Stornes is on life-support with no brain activity after allegedly being shot in the head multiple times.
Wilkins was then subsequently arrested, as he’s now been charged with first-degree murder, criminal attempt first-degree murder, employment of a firearm during a dangerous felony, possession of a controlled substance, and convicted felon in possession of a handgun.
